The Scottish Christian Party would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported their candidates at the Ballot Box.
In the election broadcast George Hargreaves indicated that a percentage vote of just 7% in a Regional vote would have seen Scottish Christian Party candidates in the Executive.
This was not misguided information. Note above that the 3 minority party candidates who did get in all had seven or less percent of the vote.
The Scottish Christian Party outperformed all other parties that had never held office and even outperformed some that had.
We must build on this. This is a wonderful beginning. Please prayerfully consider becoming a member of this political party and assist the shaping and growth of the Scottish Christian Party’s infra-structure and strength as we look to the days ahead.
It is regrettable that many Christians were discouraged from mobilising in support of this effort. It is understandable that some reacted to the negative stereotyping of the party portrayed by sensationalist media reporting and elsewhere.
As the Party prepares for the future, be assured that it’s prime focus is still the declaration of the Lordship of Christ. This is a young party. Mistakes have and will be made but the need for a renewed Christian voice in our society is very pronounced and if those who wish to silence it have their way then our children will suffer.
Jesus meant us to be salt and light.
Please prayerfully consider giving your salt and light to this effort.
God Bless you,
